Ethics and protection of personal data

IBS GL operates in full compliance with local and international ethics and Personal Data protection requirements, strictly adhering to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) principles across all our operations.

We work with partner sites in various countries across the region, and in each case, Informed Consent Forms (ICF) are adapted to reflect local regulatory, ethical and cultural requirements, in addition to being approved by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Independent Ethics Committee.

Donor data are always pseudonymized or anonymized, and are collected, processed and transferred in accordance with applicable Data Protection Laws, with appropriate technical and organizational measures, including secure storage and encrypted data transfer, in place to protect against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure.

Access to identifiable information is restricted to authorized personnel only, and all staff undergo regular training on data protection, ethics and confidentiality requirements to ensure these standards are consistently upheld.

Donors retain the right to withdraw their consent at any time, and Personal Data are retained only for as long as necessary before being securely deleted or destroyed.
